Election letter from eSalvo reader

A reader has asked each of their prospective parliamentary candidates to reply to this email:

In considering my vote in the forthcoming election I would be grateful if you could tell me your views on encouraging the reuse of building materials. there has been much emphasis on recycling but reuse would help to reduce global warming and reduce the amounts sent to landfill. For example reusing old bricks saves both the direct cost of making a new one and the energy needed to make it. So I feel reuse should be a policy priority of any future government. Yet every year we continue to just throw away huge amounts of building materials - just look in any skip!

Looking forward to hearing your comments

We will keep you posted with their replies.
