We are hoping for a positive response to this new BBC2 series, both from those in the trade who have put in a lot of (unpaid) effort to amuse and entertain the masses, as well as the masses themselves who we hope will be encouraged to renew their support for salvage and antique home and garden bits. Just one thing though: when you see two dealers apparently caving in on price please bear in mind that this is not how it happens for real, and that the negotiations were staged after the deal had been done. Normally dealers are rough old hagglers, not acquiescent nice guys - otherwise they would not be dealers for very long! Also the buying and selling prices mentioned may be slightly misleading, so don't go too strongly on them. Other than that, it all looks good, is informative, entertaining and good TV journalism.
